My sisters Molly and Ginger

When my mom and dad first brought me home, they introduced me to my new sisters Molly and Ginger. I was so excited to be welcomed into a home with other dogs that were going to be my sisters. Unfortunately, Molly and Ginger didn't have they same feelings. They had already lived very full lives and since they were senior citizens, they were very tired. I had a little bit too much energy being a puppy and all. They used to growl at me all the time and we got into a few scuffles as well. We really don't have to rehash all the details, but something about Ginger having to go to the hospital, surgery, drainage tubes, antibiotics -- blah, blah, blah. Ginger ended up being okay, but my mom and dad decided to separate us to keep us all safe. They even made me my own room. Molly and Ginger have since moved on to be with Bear and I think they are very happy having been reunited with her. The three amigos ride again. My mom says now that the trio has joined together in heaven, I tend to channel alot of their behaviors. These are things I never used to do before when they were down here on earth. Whatever makes her happy!

Bear

This is my predecessor, Bear. My mom had Bear for 14 years before she had to "put her to sleep" in December of 2004. As I understand it, mom just couldn't stop crying because she missed her Bear so much. Around the same time, I had been found wandering the streets in Syracuse, and was taken to a high kill shelter. Hmmm, do you think that was a coincidence? (The shelter was a very scary place. A lot of barking dogs and very little food, it was cold and damp, just thinking about it makes me sad. Enough of that, let's get back to the good stuff.) An angel named Casey saved me from the shelter, took me to her home and kept me in foster care until she could find my forever family. My mom kept looking and looking on petfinder.com until she finally found me in March of 2005. She talked my dad into driving from Rhode Island to upstate New York in the deep freeze of March. How's that for love? So I guess you can say I actually had two angels working on my behalf, Bear and Casey. My Auntie Sandy thinks I look so much like Bear that she calls me ReBear.
